James Klynn is a writer, producer, videographer and educator born and raised in Brooklyn New York. At the age of thirteen, James and his three younger siblings were taken into foster care by the State of New York because his parents were victims of drug abuse. At the age of 17, James’s aunts relocated the family to South West Florida where a teacher noticed his gift with writing and encouraged him to pursue poetry. Since then James has become one of South Florida’s most requested artists. James’ upbringing has been a major influence in his writing. He has opened up for Mos Def and Saul Williams and is the Visionary and Musical Director for “BLCK”. James has performed at various venues such as The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason theater, WillCallMiami,PianoHollywood,TheStage,Lagniappe, Studio 504, Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts Center, Smoke Signals Studio, Lou Rawls Performing Arts Center, the ARC, Studio 301, The Madison House with all for more than 10,000 people.
